The Quick-Start Conundrum

imageProblem: When playing your video all you see is the quicktime logo for a couple minutes. What that means is your video file is fully loading before it starts playing. To have it play immediately, what you need is a Quicktime quick-start.  To do this open your movie file using QuickTime Pro and choose FILE>SAVE AS (click the option for self contained), then save a new version of your file.  This will add quick-start to your video. Then replace it in your studio. Once you’ve done that the video will play right away when it is clicked on.

Receiving large files

imageMany times clients will try to email large attachments or use complicated services like (you send it) to transfer large files. Try setting up a remote upload project room just for large file transfers and direct your clients to your adbeast login area to upload the file to your assigned project room where you can download it to your computer. Voila!!

Delete individual spots in a reel

imagePush the entire reel over to edit contents with the trash icons delete the spots you wish to exclude then save as with the same reel name. This will over-write the existing reel in your reel manager.

Self-Help (When you need a shoulder to lean on)

imageThe Studio is built with ease-of-use in mind.  However, if you need help with any feature of the Studio, help is always available 24/7.  Simply click the “help” button at the bottom left of the Studio panel.  This launches a comprehensive online help system.  You can pick the appropriate help topics on the left-hand navigation panel.  Or, to quickly look up a topic, use the built-in Search function.

Where can I get a copy of the Studio User Guide?

imageThe latest Quick Start Guide and the Full User Guide can be downloaded free of charge. Simply click the “help” button at the bottom left of the Studio panel.  This launches a comprehensive online help system.  Then, select “Download User Guides” from the left-hand navigation panel.

Send personal emails with screening room invitations

imageWant to further customize/personalize your adbeast screening room invitations? In the outbox, email the reel to yourself and uncheck “html” the studio will email you a text link directly to the screening room. Copy the link and you have unlimited options for sending the reel.

Who Is Accessing My Project Room?

imageDid you know all logins/visits to a project room are tracked and can be viewed through the project room admin page?  To see who’s accessed a project room, first click the “Notifications and Reports” link on the project room admin page. Then click the “Reports” tab at the top of the page.

Here you’ll see a history of all logins to the project room.  You can also view a history of updates by switching from “views” to “edits.”

How Do I Create a Sub-Room?

imageNeed to show a client only a selection of content in project room but want to keep all your files in one place?

Creating a subroom will duplicate your project room but the new room will share the same Bin so you’ll have access to the same files, even as new files are added to the project.  You can change all the admin details including username and password and also have different files and folders in the project room content area.

It’s easy to do!

Who has seen my reels and portfolios?

imageDid you know all reels and portfolios that you sent via the Studio Outbox are tracked and can be viewed through the Outbox Log Reports interface?

To see when your recipients have seen your materials (as well as the number of times they have reviewed your materials), simply go to the Outbox and select the “Outbox Log” button.  If you have recently upgraded your Studio with the new Address Book feature, you can access this feature by going to the Outbox and clicking the “Reports” button.
